The link Silver Eagle provideed says it all.
I wanted to add one other category of cents you may want to focus on setting aside in separate "keeper" rolls. Those are "S" mints from 1968 - 1974. The San Francisco mint did cents during those years, and they may be worth holding on to. You just don't see many "S" mints from those years out here on the east coast. Maybe those who coin roll hunt on the west coast can comment on how many they see in a box.
In my experience, I find more wheat backs than I do "S" mints.
Good luck,
Steve

Here's my numbers from the upper midwest for the year.

Exactly 500,000 pennies searched to date... (100 of the $50 bags)

1762 wheat cents (with 206 of them pre-1941)
3 Indian head cents
940 of the 1968-1974 S-mint memorials
16 Proofs (most from one bag..this is not normal)
72 foreign (non-canadian) coins
2626 Canadian pennies (with 263 of them pre-1965)

So that works out to:
8.81 wheats for every $25 box searched
3333.33 rolls searched for every Indian Head found (1 every 66 boxes or so)

I have only searched bags this year and all have been $50 per bag, but other than the one bag containing all 16 of my proofs and one containing 89 S-mint memorials, no unusual numbers. The most wheats out a bag to date was 109 with only 13 bag containing less than 10 wheats and the lowest was 5.

NOTE: I don't turn over every coin, so I assume I miss about 50% of the S-Mints and possibly proof or two.

My averages is about 10 to 12 wheats to a box. I also have been getting about 5 of the ''S'' mints. Never have hit a Indian cent yet but I hope to one day. I have been getting a box a week but going to start getting 2 or more.
