These where obtained by a friends father back in the 1970s (he has since passed away). He took several archeology courses at UCLA. Through the university, he went on at least 2 separate trips to sites in Costa Rica. Not sure if these where from the Costa Rica trips. Can anyone can tell us anything about these items. There are the 3 stone carvings and a small piece of pottery broken off from some type of larger pottery piece arch10.jpg arch11.jpg arch2.jpg .

They are all from central Mexico, or traded in from there.

Google Tlaloc, and you'll see the same style of fragments and eyes. These are earlier than Aztec, the earspools suggest Teotihuacan influence.

secretcanyon, I did check out the link > Maya ceramic - Art History Online Reference and Guide and what comes up is > Maya ceramic No page with this exact title exists. Last updated: 06-04-2013 15:28:41. Did find > MesoAmerican Photo Archives: Teotihuacan but, link is dead. Large site, just not finding the info I am looking for.
