Centralia is on my way home from work so its no biggie to me. I'm gonna stop by regardless and see who shows up. I'm flexible, I can go anyday, anytime, anywhere, but I should be there 8:30, if nobody shows up, then no biggie....................Rich

It's a 2 hour drive for me so I think I'll make a game time decision in the morning...I plan on leaving philly at 6:30 am. It's a shame, this was one of the few weekends I'm free and I can't do it on a weekday.

I was really looking forward to meeting everyone. Unfortunately I was
informed today that I have to work tomorrow.
I can only hope for another time.

Sorry I cannot be there

Dang....spent Friday night jackhammering and lost my oomph to drive to philly frim here. 6 hours with cramped hands woulda been too much with the rain odds for me.

Hope you guys have a great time and hope to catch you all next time around.

So..what did you find?

Yea I'm Still waiting to hear someone else Got a keeper.

site was very grown up and it was hard to tell
natural land from bulldozed foundations.

MightyMouse ;
How did the fossil hunting go in St. clair ?

I know he got a few fossils in centralia.

mike ;
What happend with the Defunct park on the way home ?

I'v been slacking off myself alot lately,
It's the fuel thing more then anything else
got me in sort of a Mini depression.
Got a Call last night from a Good Friend.
Her boyfriend wants to try detecting again
so that will get me out today.

but being I gave him a $19.00 radio shack/bounty hunter years ago
and I think he only used it once, back then,
I need to figure a place with plenty of clad for practice.

I know what you mean by slackin. This new house got me bogged down. Found a few pennies in the yard next to mine but have been real conservative about driving.

So...how many people showed...??? Finds..???

Chime in here folks....!!!

Hey guys, Mike,his brother,dad,and I stopped at that park and it seemed to be cleaned out. I did manage to find a 1952 wheat penny around the ball field bleachers. All in all, I had a good time and can't wait for all of us to get together again. It was great meeting you guys.

I actually ended up heading straight back to Philly and not stopping in St. Clair in order to meet up with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Historical Recovery Group in Marcus Hook (south of Philly) for a group hunt of a colonial era home along the Delaware. I was really a road warrior on sunday (as was reflected on my wallet). I didn't come up with anything too interesting, just a '44 wheatie. But one guy in the group did find an 1808 large cent in great shape!
