Hello everyone, :hello:

Stopped at a yard sale, looked like a bust.... Lots of junk... :icon_scratch: Noticed some costume jewelry but, not a lot. Checked them out and found these Vermeil Earrings (Gold over .925 silver) marked with a makers mark and .925 China. :hello2: The China mark was a red flag but I took the chance for a quarter ($0.25) :dontknow: They have a combined weight of 4 grams. Here are some pictures, I hope you enjoy !! :notworthy:

Keep @ it and HH !! :laughing7:

4 grams at .925 = 3.7 grams pure. 3.7/ 31.1 = .119 troy ounces times silver at 23.63 = 2.81$ pure melt. I usually take off another ten percent just to cover solder or slightly lower then sterling silver when I figure how much I should get from a smelter. Pretty good find for a quarter.
