same day as my find, a farmer discovered a whole neolithic village. made my treasures a little insignificant! LOL

Did the person that had these in their possesion all these years get anything from giving them to the Governemnt ?? Or do they just claim them ?? Seems it would be rather backwards not to give the guy something for such historical items.

US finds just seem to pale in comparison to the things that turn up in the old world. Amazing how things can stay hidden so long.

hmm, he could give them or they could take them. better to get in the governments good books than make enemies in a country like China!
all the land is owned by the government anyway, people only own the houses, so technically, the objects were found on government land.

you could have great debates over the injustice of this but i have no comment, not allowed to say anything right now anyway. happy to read them though...

Here in the U.S. we don't even own our Houses, (Taxes MUST be paid Regularly, to be allowed to live in them)
