Hey everyone! Looking to get into a MXT Pro and the dealer offered me a coil choice...12" or the 950. Any suggestions? I will be hunting mostly parks, tot lots, yards and the occasional salt beach for coins/jewelry. I know a 6x10 will serve me better, but that will have to come later. Thanks for any help!!

If he gives you a deal of about $100 less for the 950 I'd go for it, otherwise in my opinion the D2 is better than either one of them coils. I remember when I first got the D2 when they first came out I was calling my MXT a turbocharged MXT. The D2 and 12" are the same price coil from the factory.

He's correct the D2 is a deep coin killer for sure I use the D2 95% of the time and when you get good with the MXT that coil can get dimes at 10"+. HH

Hey guys thanks for your wise words! Looks like my dealer came up with a great price on a package deal for me with the 950 coil, so I'll just go with it. May look into a 6x10 later on. Thanks again for your help.
