So ill start off by saying i havent posted in awhile due to finishing up the academy to be a certified corrections officer(i passed it :D) anyways i bought a new used machine, a minelab explorer xs it was a big jump from a garret ace 250 but i am finally getting the hang of it and i really like it. On to the story so i went to a yard in the town of culpeper which i had already acquired permission for and man it paid off over 30 bullets alot of drip lead, a 1944 walking libert half, a 1944 silver quarter and an ilegible whaet penny. Also there were some iron buckles a peice of shell fragment, and the the thre buttons, i have to resort to using a camera phones so the pics suck but one is an eagle I cuff smashed but alot of gilt and then my first ever coat size eagle R button perfect but no gilt and civillian button or something, also something that i thought was funny but i probably shouldnt keep is a one-hitter for smoking some type pf green plant.....sorry about the pic quality but you had better believe i am going back to find more. P.s. the enfield with the wooden plug is a 57 base also/

Sweet hunt. I have heard of some people using that green stuff to become one with the earth to enhance their detecting abilities :icon_jokercolor: Will you be working at a prison? Be careful whatever you do. There are some real bad people out there. Good luck.

Excellent finds! Congrats on Corrections, it's a good job, put on some thick skin and be fair, firm and consistant. Your best and most effective weapon is your brain! Speaking from experience, LOL, Good luck!

Definitely! Remember, familiarity breeds contempt, and most of the folks you'll be dealing with are very contemptuous of Law Enforcement! Regards, Richard
