John Moustakas lost his wedding ring while gardening in his back yard. After searching fruitlessly for three months, he contacted members of the Sacramento Valley Detecting Buffs (SVDB). SVDB is a metal detecting club which has a free service for just such emergencies. Three members of the club met at John's home on April 28, and found the ring within 10 minutes.
Club team member Steve James (L) found the ring, while Don Dunn (R) helped dig it up. John Moustakas was overjoyed. "There's a Greek god we pray to when things get lost, and he answered my prayers." John has been married for 32 years and was heartbroken when he realized the ring was missing. By way of thanks he made a donation to the SVDB club.
