I look at it this way, coils are expensive, I am rough on stuff, coil covers are cheap so I would rather be safe than sorry.
Use the scuff cover, get top dollar for your machine or coil when you upgrade.
Hell, I wish they had an OTTER BOX for my CTX lol...I still catch myself "tapping" it against things
