On the explorer, the 15" wot does not lend itself to getting coin-sized targets any deeper. Just swath coverage. And it comes at a cost of a) more warbly performance, b) harder to pinpoint, c) more potential for masking.

Another possible plus would be that theoretically you would be getting larger objects deeper (toasters, jars, etc....). But for coin-sized targets? No, not any deeper. For some reason the Sovereign does indeed get coin-sized targets deeper with the Wot. But on the Explorer, the 10" coil seems to be the "point of diminishing returns", when it comes to coin-sized targets.

Well woundering what the best all around coin coil for the explorer. Just average trash average mineralization. Maybe like a sunray 10in or just something

For the conditions you describe, the answer is: The stock 10 coil. (actually, I think it measure 10.5", but it get's called "the 10" :))
