The platypus is perfect for me, and I have replaced it with the stock Minelab pro coil and I have not looked back. The Joey coil is by far most superior to the competitors small trash coils...all of which I have used extensively. The Joey gets good depth, made of the highest quality parts, and is superb in separating targets from trash. Several of Coiltek's employees have worked for Minelab at one time, so they understand what coils work best for Minelab machines. There you have it. The BEST aftermarket Minelab coils...Hands down.
