Here's what you do. Dig every signal 'at first' Once you get a 'say nail' don't dig it's ID #. As you go along, you will be eliminating #'s of junk targets and most targets will be good ones.
When you go to a different area, you will have to start over because soil conditions may shift the #'s slightly.
That's the best I have to offer. Frank...- five star.png

I am not sure how good the f2 is never used one but it is a lower end pro detector but you should have no problem getting at least 5 to 6 inches in fair soils the best thing you can do is hunt in all metal mode with no discrimination every time you block targets on any detector you will lose depth ! true depth of any detector can only be achieved in all metal mode I would suggest getting a minelab e series detector if you want to really start finding better deeper targets !

Simple question.

How far do you hold your search coil off of the surface of the ground?

Jest far enough so nothing contacts it. In most cases, I would estimate that to be 1" to 2".

Thanks Digger, I'll keep that in mind. Trash masking could be the reason I'm not finding any silver. As another poster mentioned, I believe several of the areas I've covered have been cleaned out(mostly) by previous detectorists. They did a good job.

I keep my search coil as close to the ground as possible.
