As with most of the country the recent temperatures have been turning cold to frigid. We got 2-4 inches of snow last week and I thought the year was done. However, Newyears eve it warmed up to about 37 and rained a little. I felt like I had to get a little air/exercise so out I go. There still was a good two inches of snow and another two inches of rotting leaves & humus.
I got a very broken up signal. I Scrape back the snow and leaves.
The signal turn loud and strong. I thought it was going to be a wheat penny but turned out to be an IH:
All the stuff from the quick snow-filled hunt:
A few weeks ago I hurt my back (I am fine now). After laying around for a week I got out for an hour. I found a dozen or so items. The one piece of “junk” turned out to be a very cool name plate:
Also in December Nate and I hit a couple spots. Turned up a few silver coins including what I believe is a 50% silver Canadian Quarter ( they switched over to mostly nickel halfway through 1968).
Now it's time for Nate and I to clean our clad for the year.
Good luck to all in the New Year!
