Went out yesterday with my buddy Jason to a colonial home site that is being converted to a local gas company's corporate office. Luckily,Jason has an "in". So, We got to detect it. Here are my two best finds for the day:

First, a 1781 King George counterfeit Irish Half Penny:

Secondly, a nice 1883 Indian Head Penny:

I also found a nice (coin?) silver teaspoon with the name "Alice" engraved in it. The maker's mark is R.R. CONN. I assume a Connecticut silversmith.

Thanks for looking.

I have no idea why we don't dig any Irish coppers in our area of PA. :dontknow: :icon_scratch: It is confusing. :icon_scratch: Your copper held up nicely to the soil. Keep at that site and hit it at every angle that geometry will allow. ;D

Keep the passion high!
