I went back to the old cellar hole where I got the nice cartwheel penny. Got a decent assortment of colonial goodies and definitely going back when I can. The owner said he will clean it up a bit and level it out for me, which I'm really grateful for! Everything is pretty self explanatory, with the exception of the coin. It's a 1788 Anglesey Mines penny token, druid head variety. It almost looked like a 1700's french Sol at first. Thanks for looking!

Very cool token! looks like you're on a nice colonial spot with a great property owner.

I'm hoping he scrapes the top off in the spring. He said he would and hopefully his health and time allows him. With the amount of clay pipe parts, old pottery and bottles, there's gotta be more goodies!!

Thanks dude. The pics really don't do it justice. Yeah this is the first nearly intact pewter spoon I have ever dug. I know there's lots more in there. Gotta be a good button hiding too.

Thank Abe. Things are getting good just as the weather is going to ****. Go figure! I noticed the ground is mostly clay with a 6" layer of soft black earth. That's a good reason the coins are coming out looking good. I'll try to get a better pic

Incredible hunt RelicMedic  The token is amazing man. This is the second one I've seen, and that's only because "Erik in NJ" posted one this summer that went banner (http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/t...-druid-penny-token-much-more.html#post4649786) At least they look similar to me. Really awesome find and in amazing condition too. Vote casted!

Also, those spoons never seem to be complete, so awesome job getting that too.

That's the best looking coin/token posted in many months! Good luck on your return. Hope you can even beat that one!
