Colonial Knee Buckle and Scabbard Tip

This is a knee buckle and scabbard tip. The scabbard tip was dug at nearly a foot deep and appears to have been thrust into the ground. The knee buckle is brass on the outside with iron tines in the middle (as seen with most corrosion). Our vet took and x-ray of the buckle and it clearly shows the design inside of the corrosion. Amazing. I will try to get some digital X-Ray pictures on here for reference. These artifacts are from a virgin Revolutionary War campsite.

The complete Colonial knee buckle is definitely the keeper for the hunt. :headbang: If this is a virgin camp, you must have found a lot more artifacts (coins, buttons, buckles, pottery, esc.). If so, please share them with the forum. :icon_thumleft: :)

May your Colonial passion live forever!
