Combo fishing/detecting trip...Snappers,Spanish Macks, 14k.

Went to the beach with my wife and her brothers family for a little fishing and treasure hunting. Got a nice mess of assorted fish first thing in the morning and then we moved to a beach that had picnic areas and got in a couple hours of water detecting. I found very few targets in two hours and went up and got something to eat. I told my wife I would hang with them where they were swimming and snorkeling and detect around close to their area. Ten minutes in the water and I get a screamer in auto tune and it ids as a solid mid tone. One scoop and I see the band in the shells. I waded over to my group and held my scoop in front of my wife. She looked in and snatched the band out. My nephew looked at it with his young eyes and said its marked 14k. I let out a whoop...14KT white gold, 6.1 grams...IT WAS A GOOD DAY.

Just took the mac fillets off the grill...put a little Everglade and Cajun seasoning on em...wife has the mangos and drum fingers in the deep fryer.
