i found this ring earlier today with no markings. i took it to my coin guy who buys my scrap and he confirmed it was plat&gold he weighed it up and gave me $1650.00. not bad for 3 hours work. i then turned around and gave him $650.00 back to clear my running tab for coins on hold. so all in all a good day. i knew that heavy sucker was gonna pay off.

1650.00 for that ring? No way...
WHY? There can not be that much weight to it. I do not understand why he paid so much.

I see on one of your other posts it weighs a little over an ounce. Right now platinum shows to be around $1500 and he bought it from you as scrap to make money on it? :icon_scratch:

Well...this is just an opinion on the matter of course but..the
ring does look pretty cool. If the guy did buy it for 1650, maybe
he figured he could sell it for more as is rather than just scrap.
The ring itself could be worth far more as a jewelry piece
after all.
