That was on the news last night (last 5 min's of world news). I wonder why Spain hasn't tried to steal all of this back, like they did to the Odyssey.

What wreck site did they find them on? Turtle trail has produced alot of gold in the last few years.

Congratulations. Very Impressive. You guys find the best stuff....


I was looking over one of the pictures of the recovery, and looking at the coins noticed that you got some very rare coins.


Instead of these being the Santa Fe Do Bogata 2 escudos types, you got a pretty rare Lima 1 escudo from 1697, and a few Lima 2 escudos.


And that you got a bunch of Mexico 2 escudos in the 1690's range, which are probably almost unique. They have the jeweled cross on the back. If the jeweled cross ones have dates on them, they are significant in dating the years that the jeweled cross was used. Jeweled cross Mexico minors are very uncommon, or have not existed in this abundance before to be cataloged.
