Got out this morning with Ryan ( eagleforce ) and hunted a school that we have not hunted in quite some time . I found a large British penny once a few years ago at this school that dated from 1915 . Today was mainly clad and a few junk jewelery items including ring #79 for the year . The one cool item found was a +83 at 10 inches ! I was hoping for big old silver but it wasn't :BangHead: . As it turned out it is a keeper :hello2: . Looks to be an old compact possible from the late 1800's ! It has a very ornate scrolling design on it . No other making on it . Total clad for 2 hours was $8.08 .

It's funny how things come in pairs like the ruby colored pieces. We've found an old compact or two like that. I think I've seen some on e-bay selling for a few bucks. Lots of history there!

to me, that compact has that 'Art Nouveau' look about it. my guess is 1910's. cool finds, I like the big ruby colored stone

Cool digs there Glen! Dang its dry again here, hope rain hits some, if not fall isn't too far off, then fields will be harvested and will have a window of opportunity for some hunting!
