Not much to look at here either, but the copper is significant in that it makes number 50 for the year, way ahead of last year, and 2 months to go.

I only headed out after 4 PM to a site I got 3 coppers at before, couple of broken pewter spoons, I am now sure there was a dewelling on this property. Might be a Silver there yet.

It was almost dark (abt. 7:20) when I got the copper, caught it comming out on VID.

That broken buckle looks like military sling buckle from the Rev War or War of 1812 period.

awesome hunt! like the others mentioned..too bad on the sling buckle.but hey! ya got both pieces,what's the chance of that? unless they were in the same hole? even that's defying the odds both pieces in same hole. congrats on # 50! i'm not far behind with 47 1/2 (clipped 1/2 cent) :laughing9:

The Buckle halves did come from separate holes, some distance apart. Pretty jumpy signal too while in the ground.
