The button appears to be a one-piece, which I think were more popular in the U.S. prior to 1830-40. Someone else on TNet will nail it down.

Brass, originally gold-plated, one-piece coat cuff button, British-made, date wise 1820 - 60... nice that the eye loop is still there. :thumbsup:
