I got out with a buddy to a site that we have permission for. When we got there and parked on the side of the busy road to enter the woods, a cop was driving by. He drove by nice and slow and give us the stink eye.

We hopped into the woods. Within ten minutes (I still had a coffee in my hand), a forest ranger came in to check on us. I have no doubt the officer gave him a call. Once he saw what we were doing though, he was all smiles. I have permission, I said... but he didn't care. He was asking questions about the detectors and mentioned that he loved that Diggers show. I laughed... :icon_thumleft:

I hauled 5 coppers out of an area that was "hunted" last time by my buddy and his pal. I did have a bigger coil on than he did.

Next time... silver or bust.

On May 1, he engaged the Spanish forces and demolished them, inflicting very heavy casualties. His troops occupied the bay and Manila itself alone until General Wesley Merritt's soldiers arrived in August.

That is a great bunch of mixed finds. The coppers are very nice but I'm drawn to the spoon for some reason. Way to go!

Very nice finds. There may be a New Brunswick 1861 half cent there somewhere. They are worth mega $$$! New Brunswick silvers can be valuable as well! :)

I hear ya, man. I have dozens of NB cents and tokens, but no N.B. silver! Very tough... You have to be lucky, like Rick! ;)

That's a cool spoon, haven't seen another posted before. With all those coppers, old silver must be close! You're killin' me...I had the whole day to detect today but it won't stop raining :(
