I'll take it anyway.

Hi:hello:

Got out for a 3 hour hunt today chasing the low tide out; not much of a low tide, so I stuck close to the wet slope and any part of the shoreline where there was a low spot among all mounds of sand on what used to be my "muddy flats".:BangHead:

Found what I believe to be the remnant of an silver earring that I had fun cleaning and shining.

No markings ; tested + with silver acid test kit.

All other finds are clads, a 1944"Wheatie" ,and "junque".

Still on the watch out for that elusive gold...maybe tomorrow.

Here's a couple of pics

Thanks for looking

Lorraine

Nice finds. Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorite characters. It looked like his trademark pipe or a construction hook, but Beach Papa has nailed down the information about this unique item. HH.

Nice to hear that your back out hunting. Now that sand just needs to go back into the ocean and you will really be back in business.

I was thinking it looked like a Hawaiian fish hook when I saw it...congrats on a nice hunt.

It looks to me like you have been detecting in Never Ever Land and have found Captain Hook's Hook.
Is the top broken off, where it could attach to the arm ?
Interesting find, either way!

I doubt it is a Hawaiian hook. It does not have enough curvature to be a Hawaiian barbless hook, nor does it have an outside or inside barb to work.

I'll take it anyway.
