i would have to say no

Ok! Thanks! It is better to have no for an answer , than no answer at all. It looks Like no other I have found of any period. Kind of like a flake on one side, worked a tad on the other, and ground some at the base. It doesn't have the pretty Clovis flaked back, just smooth. Perhaps this is proof of a novice working toward perfection ?

It is stemmed. Could have been a hasty manufacture, or as you suggested a novice in practice. Nice Find!

I think it could be a guilford made from a flake. Stayed up to late looking for answers. This was the best I could come up with.

This artifact looks interesting. Is there and indentation on the top? If; It could be have been a used tool of some kind.

Yes, I also found a piece that fits the rounded out center pretty well. I'm going to post it this evening to get some opinions. May as well get my fair share of abuse!Lol!

Does the piece that fits have wear on the end that fits?

Possibly a nutting stone...

Then again it could be a paleo-wannabe, a thro-rok or even a sexrok or simply a geological phenomanem...

I'm betting on nutting stone...:icon_thumleft:

No, not the nutting stone, the point above it. Thanks any way.

I'll have to post it, because I can't verbally give the visual image. It is like a crappy roller pestle, with a flat side . Probably a leaverright

I think the round concave one is a fire starter. Old school bic! The point, really still not sure.

I'm kinda stumped on the point too. It could easily be unfinished. If it has a ground base I would say early triangle for lack of a diffinitive answer. I'm not seeing a stem in the photos. Possibly weak notches and shoulders. Pretty sure the other is a nutting stone but whatever. Nice finds either way.

Thanks gator! If the point is unfinished , why would they have started with such a thin piece of lithic? Look up Clovis points made on a flake. I know this isn't a Clovis, but if you have never read about it , I know it will intrigue you!

Of course its just speculation but if I only had a little left of some stone I liked I might make them thin to get more out of it.

That would be a crowd pleaser! That theory is what the Clovis flake is about.
