Had time for a couple of night hunts this weekend.I set up my land detector for the shallow water in hopes of scoring any small gold that may have been missed by others.(Pulled my box off and hung it around my neck). First beach was picked clean to the bone....found only a few bobbie pins in the swim area, however I did score a couple pre-60 coins in the older/closed area.
Beach #2 served up a few keepers.First good hit was a mans 10k white gold band, followed shortly therafter by half of a wedding set....10k with 12 of 13 stones intact.
And later...a sad little stonless ring marked "sterling".
Third and final beach I used the Excalibur.Found two silver pieces....a stud earing and a fine chain with heart pendant.
All in all...cant complain...it was good to get out and make it happen.
Best of luck to all....Joe
