I’ve been a fan of British music forever, so here is Amy Macdonald......okay she’s Scottish, but still. LOL.....

She broke onto the music scene about 10 years ago. Here is one of those songs.......

And here is one from 2017 album..........

Joke of the day — I told my son, “You will marry the girl I choose.”

He said, “NO!”

I told him, “She is Bill Gates’ daughter.”

He said, “OK.”

I called Bill Gates and said, “I want your daughter to marry my son.”

Bill Gates said, “NO.”

I told Bill Gates, My son is the CEO of World Bank.”

Bill Gates said, “OK.”

I called the President of World Bank and asked him to make my son the CEO.

He said, “NO.”

I told him, “My son is Bill Gates’ son-in-law.”

He said, “OK.”

This is how politics works.

2GF,

Thanks for my daily chuckles...it helps with the cabin fever during our winter doldrums.

Folks,

I thought you might enjoy this short video. This shows how movie sound effects are made and the gent is the son of friends of ours.

Just happened to have my camera again today, and, as promised, I took some pictures of a Raymond jack drive wheel that needed to be changed.

As you can see, it is only 5 bolts that hold the wheel on. An air impact will get them off fast.
It is heavy also, so, be careful when the last bolt is removed.
Lift the new wheel up to the drive shaft, laying on your back, off to the side, 'cause you don't want to be under the jack,
(an old man like me can still get it up....)
finger thread one bolt down to hold it in place, start the other 4, impact them all in place, kick out the jack stands,
drop the beast down and bump fists with the selector and tell him to be safe!

Best,

Scott

Also, he has some pictures of his car.

After the Raymond drive wheel, I got to do a broken tension riser bar on another Crown jack.
Again.
But this time, the "heel and toe" assembly also needed to be replaced.
THAT'S going to take a bit longer....

I got it finished in about 3.5 hours, flipped it over and then had to replace the bushings and axle shaft on the other side "heel and toe" assembly....

005.JPG
The replaced riser tension bar and "heel and toe" assembly.

007.JPG
The other "heel and toe" assembly removed.

008.JPG
One of the broken bushings and the two new ones that I installed.

You really can't see the new bushings or axle shaft, but they are there.

I then flipped it back upright, put the battery back in place, adjusted the forks evenly and turned her loose to help a selector make some money!

Scott

Added:
When I finished, I noticed that it was almost 7:30.
I hadn't had my lunch break.
Just like on Monday and Tuesday.
So I left a little after 8:00.
I hope that I don't get into trouble for not taking lunch breaks....

When I got home tonight, I put on the gloves and started to harvest the "Carolina Reaper" pepper seeds.
I started by cutting them in half, length-wise, with my kitchen scissors.
About halfway through cutting the 24 peppers, I accidentally snipped off a small bit of the glove on my left hand index finger.
I'm thinking, "Andromeda Strain."
OK. It's only a small snip. I'll work through it....

I finished scraping the seeds and put them on a paper plate to dry.

009.JPG

I then laid each pepper half on a separate paper plate to air dry.
010.JPG
I removed the gloves and threw them away.

Folks, Some of that pepper juice found that small hole in my gloves.....

OVER ONE AND A HALF MILLION SCOVILLE! BELIEVE IT!

I'm to old to cry and it burns too much to laugh...
So, I'll just enjoy the burn!

Who wants some seeds?

Best,

Scott

I wonder if a spray of this juice would be a good bear deterrent? Well, YES!
(Just DON'T spray into the wind....)
