Scott, good to see you back.

Just took a short trip to the other side, and put my 2 cents in. Funny how when you are totally honest, and explain how you feel, how you came to get their, and why you have gotten to where you are today, someone always has to question you, and goad you into an exchange that no one will win. I've taken many years and made mucho mistakes to get to where I am today, and I'm very secure in that. I'm done defending myself to people who don't listen or care, just want to argue. They are totally free to do as they wish, but not on my time.

Friend,

This was my fault and I will NOT allow it to happen again.

There are too many good people here and I want to be also known as one.

My Best Wishes,

Scott

Bill,

I grew up on the "Motown Sound."

This tune especially....

It reached #1 December 14, of '68.

Shortly before Marvin was murdered by his Father for protecting his Mother in a domestic dispute.....

A sad day, indeed.....

In the early sixties before the labor of elementary school became impressed on my busy schedule,part of most days involved a high fidelity record player and stacks of records from Stephen King 33 and a halves to older siblings current45s. Quite a cross section. Not enough delta blues and evolution to cover it all but a good start. Eventually a high tech 8 track player turn table that took up a third of a room arrived. The type unit like Scott would, i pulled speakers (at least 2 10 inch or better)for speakers in first car. Ahh,sweet music!L.O.L.

A lighter side of Motown, in the early years.....

Marvin was once married to the daughter of Barry Gordy, the founder of Motown....

PS.
If anyone wants to know when any particular song charted,
up to about, say, 1985,
let me know.

I'll do my best to provide info.....

I once had a '67 Ford Galaxie 500, 2 door hard top, and installed an 8 Track player.

Added: With a 289 motor that never let me down....

Talk about stylin' in the 'late '70's....

So, I'm cruisin' down the highway about 70mph, headin' to the crossroads, listenin' to ELO,

When the tape starts "draggin'.....

I SLAM on the brakes, screech to a halt, yank the player AND the tape still in the player from the
mount and throw it ALL into the ditch!
(did I mention my "hair-trigger?)

I have never owned an 8 track since.

(Thank goodness for the internet!)

Best,

Scott

Uh,oh. With out playing it yet, calling occupants,of interplanetary ultra sanitary craft.

Nope,its quite extraordinary craft. Did not know the pirate station ,radio Caroline opened nightly transmission with it. Children of the sun is in the same league. Billy Thorpe version.

Friend,

You are close enough to accompany me in the journey.....

In your mind you have abilities you know
to telepath messages through the vast unknown.
Please close your eyes and concentrate
with every thought you think
upon the recitation we're about to sing:

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft.
Calling occupants of interplanetary, most extraordinary craft.

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft;
Calling occupants of interplanetary craft;
Calling occupants of interplanetary, most extraordinary craft.

You've been observing our earth
and we'd like to make a contact with you.

We are your friends!

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft.
Calling occupants and interplanetary ultra-emissaries.

We've been observing your earth
and one night we'll make a contact with you

We are your friends!

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft.
Calling occupants of interplanetary, quite extraordinary craft.

Please come in peace we beseech you.
- Only a landing will teach them! -
Our earth may never survive,
so do come we beg you.
Please interstellar policemen.
Won't you give us a sign (give us a sign)
that we've reached you?

With your mind you have ability to form.
And transmit thought energy far beyond the norm.
You close your eyes,
you concentrate
together - that's the way
to send the message:
We declare World Contact Day

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft;
Calling occupants of interplanetary craft;
Calling occupants of interplanetary, most extraordinary craft.

Ahhh

Calling occupants;
Calling occupants;
Calling occupants;
Calling occupants;
Calling occupants of interplanetary, most extraordinary craft

Now,

Won't you come "Sail Away"

My Best Wishes,

Scott
