GREEN TEA!!! St. Paddy Tea...? LOL!
That would be St. Patty tea, good sir. :cat: :laughing7:

So the plumber comes, says, the thermostat and element got power. Or did he mean, "completes a circuit"? :dontknow: :BangHead:
Goes to the fuse box, said got no power going through the breaker to the heater, breakers bad. OK
Get new breakers, change them out, got power going through the breaker, to the thermostat, to the first element, nothing on the second element.
Then it hits me......... (well not that quick, after brainstorming and calling friend) wait for it......

They put a 240V heater on a 110V line! :BangHead:

These are the things that make me wonder, "Is it ME"!?
I asked the plumber (the one that answers the phone, not the one that was at my home), "when I called 2 months ago and needed a NEW hot water heater install, was I suppose to know to ask for a 110 or 240"? (sometimes, trying to live economically, just don't pay)

He'll be back either this evening or in the morning. :BangHead:

More tea, please....... :laughing7:

So, how was my day?

Well, good and bad.....

Went to my first class this morning, Geology Lecture.
The instructor hadn't arrived yet,
so, being April Fool's Day,
I put a post-it note on the bottom of the mouse.
I told the rest of the class, "Shhhh...."

The instructor finally came in and said that everyone present for the lecture
would not have to take the Lab test later in the day,
and would get an A.
Then she smiled and said, "April Fool's!"

I said out loud, from the back of the class, "So, you like pranks, eh?"

When she started the computer to begin the lecture, she found the mouse to be unresponsive.
She checked the cable, developed a frown on her face and said,
"Well, I guess I'll just have to write on the blackboard."

After a few minutes of her writing on the blackboard,
a classmate "clued her in."

She immediately looked my direction and pointed, saying, "I bet it was you, Scott."
I acted surprised at her accusation, then smiled.....

The Lecture test that I took last Thursday resulted in a surprising grade of 82!
----------------------

After the Geo. Lecture class, it was then on to my Math class.
I walked in, and the instructor hadn't yet arrived.

"2 for 2?" I thought....

I walked to my seat, in the back (as always), and asked the class who wanted to put a post-it note on the bottom of the mouse.
{crickets chirping....}

Bunch of chickens....
Then one girl said, "Why don't you do it?"
I said, "I was hoping someone would suggest that!"
So I did.

I then told the class that if anyone ratted me out, I'd see them after class outside.

The instructor came in and had the same trouble with an unresponsive mouse.
She checked the cables, etc. and finally said that she was going to call the I.T. people to come and fix the problem....
The whole time, the rest of the class was snickering....

I couldn't see the prank going any farther,
so I reluctantly stood up and walked to the front of the class and pointed out the prank.
She was greatly amused and I can guarantee that neither instructors or other class members will ever forget my prank.

The math class then began in earnest, dealing with plotting quadratic equations on X/Y coordinates and parabolas....

I need to take a compass to class because I became thoroughly lost....

After class, I requested some help on Thursday after class and she agreed to see me.

Then, on to the Geology Lab,
where an exam awaited me concerning sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, clastic/non-clastic, foliated, etc.

I did my best.....

So, the original question; How was my day?
I'd say, overall, GOOD!

Hope your day was good, too!

Always,
My Best Wishes,

Scott

PS.

Today was also the day to turn in my "Presentation Proposal" for Geology.

It was not to be a "formal" submission....

Scott Xxxxxx

Project Proposal
I would like to give a presentation on the metallic element, atomic number of 79, Gold.
I will present information on where it can be found geologically, its relative rareness, uses commercially,
methods of mining, uses throughout history and other facts associated with this “world commodity.”

I will draw information from at least two published books, reputable websites,
personal experiences and pictures and will also present objects for the class to view.

I hope to encourage others that the relaxing, yet addictive, hobby of searching for gold
has potential for actually paying for itself and possibly more!

I plan on using terms that have been studied in class to draw together my presentation
for viewers to comprehend. Without having this class, those terms may well not be readily understood.

LOL @ Scott! LOL!
That was a good one! One year at the office, someone swapped the "F" key and the "J" keys.
It was a hoot! As folks came to work that day, the perplexed looks and attempts to make a J type and F, or the other way, LOL!
Once you discovered it, you just stayed quiet, and watch everyone else who came in after you. LOL!

It's still early, ya'll can use that one! LOL!
Glad you're having a good day, Scott. Me too, my one element has at least made me a shower. LOL!

Glad to hear that my Friend, Squiggy is well.

A Friend posted this on their Facebook Page,
and I thought of Squiggy, Pat and my other animal loving Friends....

Always learning from animals behavior.

Wouldn't it be great if others had the same credo....

Ah, my Friend,
That I know and was going to include that it is also used in astronaut helmet face shields!
Ya know, ancient Mayans uses to space-age uses....

Glad to hear that you are well also, my Friend.

I may not always post, but I always keep my eye on my "Crispin's Critters" Friends!

Best,

Scott

Oh,

I forgot to mention that in the Geology classroom, there are many cabinets and drawers that have locks on them.
I asked the instructor if anyone had keys to these locks.
She replied that no one had any keys.
I then told her that I could make keys, install locks and even make it that just one key could operate all locks.

She was interested.

I gave her a business card of my Locksmith Friend that I help out from time to time,
and encouraged her to persue the matter further with Administration.

She said that she had once inquired, and "Facilities Operations" said that they would contact her.

{crickets chirping....}

I told her to try again, and this time, to tell the F.O. personnel that she had a student who was a locksmith that could coordinate with them.

We'll see where THIS goes....:dontknow:
Perhaps a side-line gig as locksmith for the College?

That's a "Free Ride" financially for books and tuition, Folks....
(I'll also mention locks in a classroom of a past class (Anthropology) that the instructor and I had the same conversation.)

If all fails,
I'll personally go to the F.O. office and introduce myself as their Locksmithing solution!

We All have to seek opportunities and, well.....Carpe Diem!

Best,

Scott

PS.

My hair is a bit longer than Edgar's in the video;
However,
It is thicker, dark brown and naturally curly.

I'll speak with my Geology instructor about having her take pictures when I give my presentation...
I'll provide the camera....

Y'all wanted pictures, right?

Major fail.
A previous neighbors daughter had trouble with a water leak after the installation of a gas water heater. A week or so after the install the neighbor tells me.. I went over to fix it and the laundry/ room the unit was in was full of gas fumes. How they could tolerate it or did not blow up is beyond me. The leaking gas connection was finger tight if that.
I,m human and sometimes don,t pay enough attention. When human well being is involved its pay attention time.Installer needs see no reason to charge you to correct the mistakes. Including service call, diagnosing problem and breakers as well as any labor. Dang them Floridians sound ripe for the pickens. Need any work done D.R.?:laughing7:
