Critter dens & Raccoon up a tree

Went to check on a 'hollow Bee Tree' that fell last fall, thought maybe i could move the bees to my garden area, but the bears had beat me to it & cleaned out all the honey & hive.
The tree was broken off about chest high to me, so I climbed up to see if anything was in the 'hollow stump', (empty).
Then i walked up a creek & found 'critter dens' in the rocks, didn't poke a stick in any of them, :laughing7: saw a turtle shell, possum jawbone, odd rock, etc....
Found a Raccoon in a tree looking at me, just left him in peace. :P

Great photos of the countryside, love the rocky areas, (rocks like that are non-existant here on the coastal plain of Jersey). Reminds me of the woods and hills in my former home state of Pa. I have a honey tree down here that we found years ago, it just might be time to take a hike there this spring and see if it is still in use. Bears are here, but far and few in-between.

Thanks Don, we took a trip a couple of years ago to PA & NY, we got there in time for the fall colors, & we brought back a piece of PA Bluestone, I loved all the old rock walls made from it.
We have quite an industry around here of 'building stone', they ship everything from 'mossy boulders' to slabs of rock from quarries.

Thanks, it went into a hole, the hole must have been too small, (it's feet were sticking up), when I came back through, funny sight. :tongue3:
