Its been a very slow couple months with Silver finds...but yesterday paid off.

Went out with a buddy from work that has started getting into detecting. Ended up hitting an old park near Dallas that has been beating to death I'm sure. no less then 30 mins of detecting , I got solid 13-47.

I dug down about 3 inches and thought it was a token when it flipped up, Then I saw what it was!!

its in decent shape, 1918 Walking half dollar.

This was the first one in 2 years so I was stoked!!

The BIG Plus was me not getting tore up by chiggers like the week before!

thanks for looking!

Wow, that CTX can sniff out coins at sites heavily hunted by others before. Beautiful old Walker.

Wow, man that's awesome. You just never know in those well hit parks. If over the years people missed a one square foot area, there's always a chance. Nicely done, super cool.

Ouch on your legs!!!

Around here it's the deer ticks. My worst year, last year was 19 bites. So far this year I'm at 8 bites, more to come for certain. What really irks me is that I have one bite from last year that still scabs up - danged critters from Satan! I had myself checked for Lyme last year because of so many bites.

I do spray myself now with Off, but it doesn't always protect me.

Just thought of something...I saw “100” years and didn’t think of Walking Libertys, but, yes, 100 years. Great find!

I would definitely dig a 13 - 47 on my CTX.
Those halves also come in at 8 - 48.
Congrats on a beautiful coin.
