Hey everyone!
If you have read

then you have seen the finds from my first visit to the African American family homestead. Day 2 was yesterday and I managed to find some really great things. I brought a friend with me and he found some goodies as well. I managed to find a "FZ" Civil war 2 piece buckle. I believe that stands for Fire Zouaves but i'm not sure and would appreciate any information you can give about that. I also found my FIRST REGIMENTAL BUTTON. I believe it says 56th regiment. I haven't researched it just yet. My buddy found the exact same one (as seen in the slideshow) but his has the shank still. I also found 35 other buttons! Some had fancy and some were plain. One of them was a CW artillary coat button. I also found an 1826 half cent, a smoothy copper and a beautiful 1819 Large cent. I gave that one to the owner and he was thrilled:icon_thumleft: I wish I wouldve gotten pictures of it though. Anyways, I can't believe what an awesome site this has proven to be.

I decided to make a slideshow to pay tribute the african american family who owned the house long ago

Thanks for watching!

Amazing two days  I read it all and now I can't wait to go back and watch the two slide shows. Be right back....

As I expected, your slideshow was as top notch as your Day 1 and Day 2 posts on here. All around amazed at your finds with a great story and amazing pictures. Your buddies axe head will clean up great with electrolysis. Nice work on the research and hope you get to hit this place hard for years to come.

Amazing day! That had to be a blast digging all that history.
