Does it look like it was professionally pre-paired for medical school? Or some student did it all by himself?

Any idea the age? sex? ethnicity? (that info will help when trying to resell)

Selling on ebay right now $1400 to $5500 but much better specimens.

My strangest thing I almost bought was a silicone breast implant (they only had one) It was in a nice unmarked box. I opened the box and not knowing what it was picked it up and noted the size, weight and squishyness of it. I put it back right away because it had an oily feel to it (sitting in the sun for hours I guess) Then I realized what it was. Should have made an offer. Would have been a good bookshelf conversation piece. I always wondered what it would have looked like "installed"

Of all the odd things I own, I've never once checked the value of my skulls!! Ive got at least 3 of them sitting around in a closet somewhere. Maybe it's time I sell them off since they don't do much for me...

Nice. Gotta love the macabre.

Speaking of macabre, I have the opportunity to buy some antique OB/GYN tools. The majority are pretty mundane, but there are a few tools in the bunch that were used expressly for aborting fetuses - those are the ones that seem to command higher prices on eBay. I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on the purchase. Something about it gives me the heebie jeebies, and I'm pretty liberal.

Haha....this made me laugh out loud: Ive got at least 3 of them sitting around in a closet somewhere.

Yes, I was shocked at the prices. I will probably break even or make a small profit, but couldn't pass up the story.

I can't help it, that's just wrong.

I would not have touched that skull for even a penny. Some may think that kinda thing is funny. It's certainly unique. But not something for my bookshelf, never ever.

Actually ... they are not legal to do so...
heh.

There are laws against the buying and selling of "body parts"... at least here in Florida anyway.

I know this because I saw on the news here a dealio where someone had bought an entire skeleton at a yard sale in a box.

Was all over the news etc.
They had taken it and examined etc.

Was medical... not sure of end outcome.

Skull stuff in general sells very well. A couple of years ago, my wife bought a box of miscellaneous stuff at an estate auction. In the box were several skull themed items. The only items I remember werean ashtray and a small mirror but there were several other skull items as well. Every one of them sold immediately on eBay.

back in the 80's they were $100.00 for excellent specimens with
all the nose bones intact, skull cut & full teeth
and Jaw connected with springs.

I still kick myself for selling mine, when I see today's Prices.

of course I also feel If I never sold Mine, they would be worthless or illegal by now :(

this ones about like mine but $1100 more then I paid :(

Since they can't be shipped from Asia anymore the quantity are drying up
