Has anyone tried denture fizzies (Dental Alka-Seltzer Tablets) to clean coins

Hiya ALL,
I use Denture tablets for cleaning normal Jewlery and it brings them up lovely and shiny.
Put one tablet in a glass or an old jam jar then put all your jewlery on top of it, then put in HOT water NOT boiling water and leave over night.
But DON'T use them on jewlery with pourous stones in, I.E. Opals, as it would ruin the stones.
As for using the tablets for coins, I can't help with that one sorry, never tried it.
