Deputy's Badge From An Old Farmstead ... Button Update!
Man it's been wet around here this week. We had 10+ inches of rain in two days and water is everywhere. By Sunday I had to get out for a while but water is standing almost everywhere. I started driving to a couple of old hunting spots and found a farm field where the soy beans had been recently harvested and I didn't see water standing. I've hunted this place several times over the last couple of years and didn't really expect much (this farmer has gone to no till so the field hasn't been plowed in 3 years). I spent about 2 hours in the bean stubble and mud with the folllowing finds: 1907 IH, 2 very rough wheats (1934, 19??), a nice Blue Bell button, a marble, and the find of the day ~ a cool deputy badge! I was happy to be out for a hunt and happy with my finds as well. Thanks for Looking ~ Jimmy
