Descent scrap haul in Louisiana

Made a small scrap run in Louisiana and was pleasantly suprised.

had 74lbs of Al Cans @ .73
46 lbs of copper @ 2.70
39 lbs of Al scrap @ .54
6 lbs of Yellow Brass @ 1.65
2 lbs of Cast Al @ .54
143 lbs Scrap batteries @ .16

a total of 233.14 - was a nice payday for just piling junk up at the house for the past 4 months.

Total time involved in the whole project including the wait at the scrapyard was less than 4 hours over the past 6-8 months.

Wow, 50 some bucks an hour, think what I guy could make if he really tried to make a living off it!

problem is, a lot of guys are trying to make a living out of it. There's only so much scrap and we have guys walking our alleys, driving our alleys, and picking up everything that isn't nailed down. Serius, tomorrow is saterday and for sure someone will be up and down the alley every two hours.
