Happen to briefly catch a reply to a thread last week that there might exist a 1982-P Dime where the "p" doesn't show. So there would be: 1982-d, 1982-p, and 1982 "no-P". Do I read this right? Comments, and maybe a picture. Since I date check my boxes, will surely watch for this mint error.

Yep. Completely missing P mintmark. Most were found in Ohio, many at or near Cedar Point amusement park. If you don't live fairly close to this part of the country, your odds of finding one are pretty slim. (In other words, if you live in CA, you're probably wasting your time looking. Then again, I found a '72 dbl die penny in Idaho several years back so what do I know???)

I've found 3 of the 1982 "no mintmark" dimes in rolls. I'm in Western NY. Unfortunately, I wish I had known about them in 1982 as our senior trip was to Cedar Point in June, 1982. I probably could have had them by the roll!

does anyone have any idea how many of these were minted? I thought it was a ridiculously small number
