I've had bad shoulders for years (misspent youth), but finally developed partial tears in both rotator cuffs. Went to a good specialist and we decided to try a conservative treatment over surgery and it worked. However, when I retired and got back into detecting with my trusty 6000di Pro SL, if I swung it for more than 15 or 20 minutes I'd end up paying for it. Finally decided reluctantly if I was going to continue on in the hobby I was going to have to lighten the load and began my search for something that was light enough, but still good enough and wouldn't put my shoulder at risk. After much research (wanting to stay with Whites), I settled on the Prizim 6T. I've been the last month learning it and doing comparisons against the 6000. While it seems to not discriminate quite as well...in the end, being plastic I can swing it for at least an hour or two without causing problems. I've heard in they don't do well with highly mineralized soil, but so far I haven't had occassion to use it in that type of ground...it does do well in sand and nice rich soil though...but the bottom line is, I can use it.
