First, welcome to the forums. What can you tell us about it? Size? Where did you find it? Any information you can give will help get it correctly IDed.
As fyrffytr suggested, giving us the dimensions would be a big help.
I'm no expert on ancient Middle-Eastern fighting axes, but my gut feeling is that this is more likely to be a ceremonial piece designed for display.
But without being able to physically inspect your piece, this is just an uneducated guess on my part.

It's in the style of an Indo-Persian 'tabar' axe (saddle axe, from the blade shape) and uniquely characterised by a very thin handle which is almost always metallic and not made from wood. An original item might date from the 16th-17th Century but they're commonly reproduced for the pseudo-antiquities market as decorative display pieces and usually no older than 'vintage'.
