Though I haven't done so in a while, I tie my own flies. Cleanliness aside, I don't think I'd be able to tell a new one from an old one. :dontknow:

i have collected a lot of older fishing lures. both wood

and plastic. fromwhat i can tell most of the time

if there were older flies in a protective case they still

were crumbly from age. also books are made for pricing

vintage lures. i have seen none on flies.

I'd like to know the answer too, because I have a box of approximately 300 Winchester flies on their original cards which I found in an old store.
