Following a suggestion by brother Soloman, I put the Compadre away, broke out the Vaquero and (using Tery's instructions) re-scanned the same section at the east end of the property where I found the 1917 dog tag, the wheats and the 59 Rosie. Unfortunately, I found nothing.........
Now, let me say, I am new to ground balancing and only have about 10 hours of hunting with the Vaquero.......if there was a fault, it may have been with the guy at the other end of the machine.
As an experiment, I decided to start over and re-search the north side of the property. It's about a 40 yard walk from the sidewalk to a tree stump I've been using as a break point. It's a section I've covered twice with the Compadre..........and the results.........

A couple more wheats and a 52 Rosie..............not too bad!!
Vaquero away and Compadre back in action on the east side, once again...........
