Alright, everyone, a bank told me they had "two bags" of dollar coins...... a total of $2150.

I bought 'em all on the off chance there'd be some "Big Dollars" in the mix.

Not......

All Suzan B and Sacagawea.

Anything in particular I should look for?

Proofs? Special editions? Silver?

They're about half&half, 'twinxt the two, machine and hand rolls.

I ain't got a clue. I figger break 'em down, count 'em out, drop the bag.

Opinions solicited.

Thanks, GMan....

Good link/article. However, I doubt I'll put all those coins under the loupe. I will look 'em all as I count 'em for quarter reverses.

I'll also check the Suzan B's for the '81s which were only issued in mint sets. What I'll do with 'em if I find 'em I don't know....

I don't know much about Susans and Sacs, but iirc there was quite a to-do about the presidental dollars last year when some folks found out there were errors in minting a batch from Philly. iirc, several hundred had no ribbed edges?

Someone help here...!

they were called godless dollars....in god we trust was missing from the rim...believe most were found in ny
The Pesidential dollars have what is called a lettered edge. The other type, like on halves and dimes, is called a reeded edge.
