Don't Listen to the "Ney Sayers"

Technically, these are finds from this weekend but I didnā€™t have time to post. I found the Confederate Reunion Medal at a sight that I was assured had been picked over. Same with the Mercury dime. Thereā€™s still great stuff to be found in the obvious places. Donā€™t give upā€¦ just be creative.

Re: Don't Listen to the "Ney Sayers"

Posts like this one give me hope! We have just secured permission to hunt a place that has been hunted in the past and I was told "you won't find anything there anymore" We will see. Baldingboy and I plan on hunting it next week.

I would pass out if I found something as cool as your medal and I love those mercs! Good job!

That is a wonderful find truly unique piece. There is a guy on here pretty sure his name is SCTeacher or something like that. I believe he lives in Columbia as well. He has some really cool videos that he used to post on Utube. Keep an eye out for him maybe you guys can hookup,HH...Shoot

Thanks Shootist for the Compliment!

I changed my name from SCTeacher to Research and Recovery, mainly because I'm not a teacher anymore, YAY!!! ;D

www.youtube.com/researchandrecovery is where you will find my new stuff.

Re: Don't Listen to the "Ney Sayers"

Nay Sayers are usually skunks. Many years ago, I was hunting downtown Auburndale, Florida when local two Th'ers came up to me and told me I was wasting my time as both of them had cleaned the area out. "Oh really!" as I dug into my keeper coin ouch and withdrew a Walking Libery half and a Mercury dime :-* that I had just recovered from a vacant lot. I smiled when their eyes grew wide :o and their mouth dropped to the street. Told them to keep up with their good work and continued my hunt. Could hear them grumble as I walked away. Don't ya just love this hobby! ;D

That UCV medal is beautifully designed. It's any CW relic hunters dream find.

Congratulations!
