I enlarged the map some, used the archaeological type of search instead of for gold treasure. This should bring up more wrecks rather than loose gold items or the gold vein.

Green in general is a color indicator, I use for various other targets mostly archaeological (old ruins or foundations but especially those non-metallic objects such as Indian flints, glass, pottery, carved stone with treasure signs).

Red Desert, I, obviously, cannot verify anything except the Lagoon, but those marks look VERY intresting. One must remember the lagoon was far different in those day, it was open north and south and we only have an old Indians description of an event before his tiime...:coffee2::coffee2::coffee2:

The southernmost end of the bay is missing, to really get in close you need 2 maps for south and north. These are not marked, before doing anymore checking posting these unmarked so others can use them. For those who have a large enough computer screen, note the shallow bottom areas are visible in the maps.

Since there is a gold vein, no doubt some of this will be from alluvial gold in the sand. I'm going to need a follow up with a more discriminating search.

Black didn't show up in the deeper water, so used dark gray instead. Definitely is a lot of history in the bay area.

REd Desrt, could be Cromwells ship breaking up. It is definitly in his proposed path and we only have an older Indians' memories of Cromwels ship breaking up over Bird Ils.that was repeated to him by equally elders from another generation-
frankly I find your readings extremely interesting, and gemstones would be definitly in a pirates loot..-

I tried checking other parts of the water for gemstones, so far nothing other than the lilac rectangles......possibly maybe a little bit past north edge also. Most pirate ships and Spanish galleons would have carried gemstones on board as well. Since you were referring to the gemstone hits, this should be a huge clue in locating the wreck site.

Red I didn't say there was a vein of Gold at 200 ft to Ga, only that there was a possibbility
Oh, could be all kinds of stuff, but so far only have one site for gemstone hits, which seem to be scattered over the area of the lilac boxes.

Red Desert, here is one that I have found, Las Pimas, yet to find La Tarasca, can you ?

Somehow the map to the bay is mixed up with La Tarasca, ignore it Go for the first picture.

Best I can do at the moment, is to start marking sites. More later, need to hit the map in sections, out of time tonight.

Native gold, you can see why I'd been so reluctant, to do this type of search in an area like Tayopa.
From my file of definitions for yellow marked spots.
Yellow line box (or solid filled circles) for gold veins and deep alluvial placer deposits.
