Many members have been posting some great stuff lately, this post is not like those though, sorry. I gave it a good try today, but wasn't able to pinpoint anything good. So it goes with "exploration work".

Top: looks like a cuttlery handle.
Second row: Square copper spike ? lead shot and a couple thing-a-ma-bobs
third row: draw pull thing ? 1840 NS half penny token, and buckle frag.

Wish me luck...

Keep at it, that brass buckle tang is off an old shoe buckle so there's got to be some old stuff in that area! Get back out there this weekend and hit it hard!

It shows that the site has potential, the 1840 would have made my day. :icon_thumright:

The 1840 is very toasted, a bit of cleaning left no date.

That site has Colonial coin potential. You found a Colonial shoe buckle chape. Thanks for sharing it, Rick. :icon_thumleft:

Fun post and that like most of my days, I should post the buckets of detector fodder I find between the few good targets. Of course I most always smoke a cigar while hunting. So I suppose that would be close and of course a cigar
