it was the 1st thing that popped in my head when i read the posting,, not implying that he did something illegal, sorry for that missunderstanding if their was one

Can't post back of it right now iPhone doesn't allow it maybe the newer iPhone does; will when back at computer; was not Andersonville and was not protected place; thanks for feedback. Hope to get an ID

Yeap, started in 1902 - present, the backmark will narrow the date.

nice find! i think its a bit later than civil war though. if i am not mistaken they have been using that button design since WW1 and i think they are still using it today.

delta 4000 / ace 250 - used BH and many others too
that us military button design is the "great seal" type design not used until 1902 * ..so not civil war ( maybe Spanish American war at the earlist ---with WW1 or WW2 much more likely)
