Found this cool button (?) little bigger than a quarter at site of 5,000 union prisoners - hollow inside, bounced around between penny, quarter and 50C on detector. Not sure if it's Civil War or newer. Please help ID, thanks.

Can't post back of it right now iPhone doesn't allow it maybe the newer iPhone does; will when back at computer; was not Andersonville and was not protected place; thanks for feedback. Hope to get an ID
nice find! i think its a bit later than civil war though. if i am not mistaken they have been using that button design since WW1 and i think they are still using it today.
that us military button design is the "great seal" type design not used until 1902 * ..so not civil war ( maybe Spanish American war at the earlist ---with WW1 or WW2 much more likely)
