A lot of folks trying to get on the beaches now behind the bulldozers that are building emergency sand berms. Some nice stuff being found!

Kevin, I hope that Palm tree didn't blow away.
A category 4 is no joke.
Stay safe my friend.

I hope that we do not get hit in Connecticut. Be safe everybody. True, the best time to hit beaches is after storms.

The U.S. Coast Guard said on Friday it was conducting a search and rescue operation for a 735-foot cargo ship with 33 crew aboard, reported to be caught in Hurricane Joaquin near Crooked Island, Bahamas.

The USCG said the container ship El Faro was en route to San Juan, Puerto Rico from Jacksonville, Florida when the ship sent out a distress signal.

Has anyone heard from Sads669 or BVI? I tried emailing both to see if they were Ok and I haven't heard from either of them in a few days.
That Cat. 4 Hurricane has me a little worried.

I talked to Sads day before yesterday via Msgs here...
First time in awhile actually...
We talked about other things and the storm never even came up... it just slipped my mind... and he said nothing about it either.

I wonder how they faired... ?

BVI is also there is he not ?

I just got an email from BVI. He weathered the storm.
His power just came back on and he's having an epicurean's dinner. MRE's.

Yeah, a lot of these guys don't understand that concept, Not even when they are discovered 6 weeks later bloated and rotting in their underwear face down under a 45 foot pile of debris.
