Enjoy:

After work today I stopped by the 1830's CW property to get a few hours in. The dirt was very dry and a bit tough to dig now.
I was working an area in the back yard around the garage & row of hedges. I noticed that the garbage can that normally sits in back was gone. I decided to detect the bare patch where it sits and I got a strong signal. I thought for sure it would be junk, but was pleasantly surprised with a large button about 4" deep. Also in that same spot was part of a skeleton key.
The button I believe is a General Staff button that measures approx. 28.5mm with a "Scovills Mfg. Co. - Waterbury"
back mark. I suppose this style is post 1902, but the back mark looks to be older, so I am puzzled.
Also dug were:
*1926 wheat
*CW bullet -Looks like it has 3 rings, but the base is SOLID. Any ideas what kind of bullet this is?
*Vintage piece of jewelry. Possibly Victorian era.
*Colonial chicken bone. Pretty cool looking old bone actually.
Thanks for looking,
MM
