Every day I've been passing by a jackpot

It's been getting too hot around here to hunt during the day, so this evening I went in search of a cool place to hunt. Every day I pass by this old middle school football field and think to myself that I should check it out. Well, I did today and it payed off. I only made 2 passes across the end of the field on the backside of the goal. Since I was just sampling I had my detector set up for just the coin range since I didn't want to dig all the trash. In 2 passes I came out with 66 coins, mostly clad, but I did get a couple of wheats. From what I see, I don't think it has been searched before. So now I have a new place to thoroughly check out in the cool of the day.

The reason for only 1 nickel is because when I first scan a place for possibles, my detector is set to only accept 17 to 23 and 60 to 95. That is just for the quick scan to check out the coin percentages, and reject all most all of the trash. Now I will search accepting all most everything since I know it is a productive spot.

Regarding your settings, a lot of people hunt like this full time disregarding the trash but losing their chance to find the gold and nickels. Your master plan is pure inspiration however, planning to come back and work it more thoroughly. And, I know you will! You remind me of me; I'm anxious to see what future hunts yield!
